The Advantages of Using New Dental Technology

With ongoing advancements in dentistry, modern instruments and devices are continuously updated, or new techniques are introduced. Much like the general medical field, specialists utilize these tools to make treating patients more efficient and comfortable.

Experienced doctors know that they provide patients with premier service by staying at the forefront of cutting-edge technology.  He designs each procedure using high-tech dental tools for a variety of procedures.

What is the purpose of 3-D Cone Beam Scans?

Advanced machines like 3-D Cone Beams are currently redefining efficient preparation for dental procedures. A cone beam uses computer-aided design to gather a digital model of your oral structure safely. It can modify the model using dental software to show how prosthetics will look before they are applied. Patients are given more accurate prostheses, shortened appointment times, and fewer post-adjustments for precision using this innovative technology.

I Need My Crown, Today.

CEREC stands for (Chairside Economical Restoration of Esthetic Ceramics). This method uses a milling appliance that saves patients time as it allows dentists to prepare, create, and install a natural looking crown for a tooth in a single visit. A crown procedure without the technology would need to be molded, submitted, created, and delivered during a long process.

CEREC-machines first scan the area for precise mapping of the affected area. The new scan feeds measurements into a device to form, polish, and dispense a replica consisting of the original shade and shape of that tooth. The resulting product is as durable as a healthy tooth in the span of one visit.
