Orthodontics in Strongsville, OH

Young woman with braces in dentist chair while hygienist inspects her mouth with a mirrorAt The Strongsville Center for Cosmetic & Implant Dentistry, we help patients achieve a beautiful smile that improves function and bite. Through a variety of orthodontic treatment options, our talented team builds a personalized orthodontic plan for each patient that caters to their unique aesthetic and functional needs. Dr. Richard Weiser emphasizes non-extraction and non-retractive treatments that focus on proper jaw development in order to maximize space for the tongue, all adult teeth, and airway development. We also utilize Surgically Facilitated Orthodontic Therapy (SFOT) to allow for more rapid tooth movements and greater stability of long-term after orthodontics is complete. Our state-of-the-art services help children, teens, and adults obtain a healthier smile they’re proud to show off.

Orthodontic Treatment in Strongsville

Using the latest in modern dental technology, Dr. Weiser can visually illustrate how a patient’s bite can be improved. During the initial evaluation, we’ll use intraoral cameras and 3D imaging to depict the current state of a patient’s bite and teeth alignment. This allows us to help the patient understand the improvements that can be made and establish which orthodontic treatment method would best meet their needs.

Our orthodontic treatment options include:

Traditional Braces - Traditional metal braces are highly effective for patients with spacing issues, misaligned bites, or overcrowding. Treatment involves securing a metal bracket to each tooth and using a connecting wire to gradually shift teeth. Monthly adjustments are made throughout the length of treatment until the teeth are aligned.

Invisalign® Clear Braces - For patients seeking Invisalign clear braces in Strongsville, Dr. Weiser has you covered! Invisalign treatment consists of a series of removable, clear aligner trays that shift teeth into proper alignment. As teeth shift, new aligner trays are introduced until the final result is achieved.

Phasal Orthodontics - Phasal orthodontics allows a parent to get ahead of the curve in their child’s orthodontic care. While a patient still has their baby teeth, treatment can begin to help intervene with potential issues. Once the adult teeth grow in, final treatment phases can begin.

Wilckodontics - This treatment option allows for a more expedient orthodontic treatment. Through a periodontic procedure, the jawbone can be softened, allowing teeth to move with much less resistance. As the bone hardens again, the teeth are locked in their new, straight position.

TMJ Treatment - Jaw pain often stems from the temporomandibular joints (TMJ), which is often caused by a misaligned bite. After a proper diagnosis, Dr. Weiser can determine where the issue lies and design a treatment plan to shift the jaw so less stress is placed on the joints. This often alleviates the pain associated with TMJ dysfunction.
